Last night, Rob and I attended Jourdyn's school open house. When we were getting out of the car Rob said, "WOW, I'm getting old." I said, "Why cause your daughter is in junior high?" Of course, he said, yeah. But it hit me then too! We are getting old. I remember some of my junior high, not every detail but a lot of it. And it was a great time for me. I hope Jourdyn's years in junior high are even better.
So we found out some cool stuff Jourdyn will get to do: Art Club every other week (she doesn't have art class this year, so she's going to join this), Youth 2 Youth (they had this when I was in Junior High), school dances once a month, and there is a chess club, but go figure she don't want to do that. (Who does?) later in the year she can do fitness club.
She also gets to go to Camp Storer this year. Something I also did in sixth grade. I'm warning you in advance that she will be doing a couple fundraisers for this trip. One coming up in the next week or so and the other in October. And we will be hitting you up!
I don't think most of the kids in sixth grade have been on a field trip like this one. You know for overnighters and week long trips. Jourdyn has though. We did Marmon Valley back in 4th grade. And Jourdyn has done church camp since 3rd grade which is a week long. So she'll love Camp Storer. I volunteered to go with as a chaperone.
