German American Festival

Saturday was the German-American Festival at the Oak Shade Grove. Yearly, Amy & Jason have a GAF party. They invite friends to go to the Fest and then back to their house for a party. Last year, we didn't make it to the Fest, but we ventured down to hang out with our new neighbors. In fact, this Saturday marked the one year anniversary of our meeting Jason & Amy. They have grown to be great friends! Like our family! And just think, if Tate hadn't gone down to investigate the new neighbors we may have never met them.

Ironically, this Saturday was not free from chasing a dog either. Except this time it was their dog Zeus. Someone had let him out of the house. So Jason and I spent a little time trying to catch him. He eventually came back on his own. Tate would have done the same last year, excepting the fact that Amy tried to steal him. She liked having a lap dog, even if for just a couple of hours.

So Chuck and Char came over and joined us at the Fest. They brought Mer & Jennie to babysit our kiddos and we had a date night!!! Yeah, those are always fun! And it's always great to get to hang out with friends or even just other adults!
