LifeLine Community Dinner - January

In keeping with my New Years Resolution to build relationships, Rob and I were invited to the LifeLine Community Dinner this month and we went! "LifeLine is people in spiritually formed community, mobilized by team leadership to do network ministry with regional reach, to accomplish community transformation."

It is hosted in the North's home in the Old West End. It was an amazing night. We ate dinner with many people we didn't even know, but we all came with the intent to meet new people and build community. It made for a great evening of discovery. We met Vic, his 9 yr. daughter Hannah, found Hannah's Socks. The concept of the dinner is about getting people together who have a heart for community and for changing their world in whatever way they can: Food For Thought and 1matters were just a couple of other organizations that were represented, We fellowshipped with pastors from other churches and other denominations, some we knew, some we didn't. We shared our meal with homeless people and wealthy people. Our great friends Chuck and Charlene were there. And some other friends that we've met along the journey. All of us there for one common goal: to get to know one another! It was such a blessing to be there.

And guess what? They do it every month!!!! YEAH!!!!

"All the believers were together...They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Acts 2:44-47
