Day 2 & 3

This is the view from my mom & Jim's apartment. (365-29) On Day 2, Jim, JOhn and I went over to my cousin Danny's office so I could be adjusted and Gina gave me a full body massage! I had never had a massage before and I believe it is possible that I am addicted! They are like heroine. Try it once and you're hooked. It was phenomenal!

We hung out with mom and Jim for the rest of the afternoon at their house and then Julie and I took all the kids to the mall to run a bit. We spent the night at John's house so the kids could go play in the snow this morning. There is no snow down here in Boise, but John is up in the mountains and as you can see in the picture there is snow there!

This morning the kids all bundle up and went out in the snow to play for about an hour and then we headed back down to Boise. Jourdyn was able to ride Pepper, my brothers horse. (365-30) She rode him bareback. Nadine and Rowan went sledding down the snowbanks in front of John's house.

Day 1 (365-28)

Day 1 - We spent the day today playing Scrabble and Ten Thousand with Grandpa and playing with toys. It has been fun. After Andrew and Nathan got home from school, we headed out to Nampa to Northwest Nazarene so I could pick up a confirmation letter of my enrollment in the MDiv program.

Rob and I have decided that we will go forward with attempting to enter the Air Force Chaplain Candidacy program. So here's the deal with that at this point: for the next two years I will go back to school 8 credits hours per semester, graduating with my MDiv in Spiritual Formation. I will be a Chaplain Candidate during that time. Air Force pays for half of my education. Over those two years I will do 12 weeks of Air Force training over the summers. (Not all at once)
So I had to go to my school and get a letter for the Air Force records. Like I said before this is a long process to get in. We are just at the beginning of that process.

Jim came home yesterday. He looks great. I think he likes the fact that we are all here to visit him. He was given new meds and goes back to the doctors soon. They want to put a heart pump in, but they have to see a certain doctor in Salt Lake for that. For now, he is on hold. He went with us for the ride today. After going to my school, we stopped by my cousins, Dan and Gina's house to say hi and then we hit the neighborhood FIVE GUYS!!!! (I believe this is my new favorite restaurant!) This pic of the day is my stepdad, Jim and my nephew, Brodie. Doesn't Jim look good? I am definitely praising God that He has sustained him for this visit!!!!

I have lots of pics but no way to upload them. Still haven't seen my brother yet....tomorrow!!!!!

We have arrived

Well, after a very long drive we have arrived in Boise! We rolled in about 1 am mountain time. It was a good drive. We didn't hit any weather. In fact there was very little snow the whole way. I was surprised about that.

We left on Tuesday at noon eastern time drove all the way through Iowa and stopped to sleep at a Budget Inn in Adair, Iowa. Then we were back on the road and drove the rest. The kids traveled well. Rowan had some issues with wanting to go to the bathroom all the time and then once there not wanting to go. It all worked though.

So now we are just spending our weekend visiting! I'll have a picture for you before the end of the day!
